About Vessels Academy Incorporated

 The academy is founded and operated by a Chief Executive Officer and an Advisory Board of Directors. Kim D Garner-Boone CEO holds a  Post Graduate Professional teaching license in the state of Virginia. She has received a Bachelor of Science in Human Services, a Masters in Special Education, and Education Specialist Degree in K12 Administration and Supervision. She also hold certification administration, reading specialist, and K12 General Curriculum special education. Kim has over 20 years of experience in the education field. Her passion is helping at-risk students achieve academically. "I envision our preschool being a safe and friendly environment that exposes children to adventure and the love of learning through a state approved Literacy-based curriculum in a Christian environment.

 Vessels Academy aims to provide educational instructions by offering a premier preschool for ages 3-5  and Reading instructions for at risk students in grades K-3. Also to be a support for communities and being an educational resource for parents with preschoolers and struggling students in the core content area of Reading. 

Our tutoring services offers the following services: Initial Assessment, Instructions, and progress monitoring of  Reading Skills. Vessels Academy's preschool offers a clean and sanitized family day home, and we follow all local health & safety guidelines; support for your preschooler to develop all of their social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language skills so they’re more than ready for Kindergarten; lots of 1-on-1 personalized attention with our small class size up to just 10 students; and a premier education, being taught by a licensed, experienced and Loving Teacher.

We are located in the City of Newport News, Oyster Point area and in the Camelot subdivision.
