Causeway Academy was created to provide students with learning disabilities a safe, nurturing and wholistic environment to help them develop foundational skills in all core content areas.
As a former SPED teacher; it was disheartening to read aloud to elementary and high school students. I found it to be a disservice as they never gained the opportunity to LEARN how to read for themselves.
